Frequently Asked Questions
How do I save my photos?
After capturing, tap the latest-shot thumbnail to open the review screen, then tap the save button. Captures are saved to your Photos library (the App requests “Add to Photos” permission the first time).
Why is the camera preview black?
Hay Cam needs Camera permission to show the live preview. Open Settings → Hay Cam → Camera on your device and enable access, then relaunch the App.
How do I switch film stocks?
Tap the film name at the top-left of the camera screen to open the film picker. Each stock applies a different look (color grade, grain, halation).
How do I turn the date stamp on or off?
Open the App’s Settings screen (gear icon at the top-right) and toggle Burn-in Timestamp.
I lost a photo / the App crashed
If a photo wasn’t saved to your Photos library, it may have been lost when the App was force-closed mid-save. Future updates aim to make saves more resilient. If you experienced a crash, please email us with the timestamp so we can correlate with Crashlytics.
Refund and Cancellation
If the App offers subscriptions, refunds are handled through Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request a refund or manage your subscription in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Account Deletion
Hay Cam does not require account creation. All photos and settings live locally on your device. To remove all App data, simply delete the App from your device.
